| Description |
| Must be able to present industry approved certification
in the discipline required. Control welding operations to fabricate and
install equipment and systems. Determine the kind of tools, equipment
and materials needed to successfully complete assignment. Install equipment,
machines, wiring, or systems to meet specifications. Monitor and control
gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure welding machine is working
properly. Conduct in process tests and inspections of work to evaluate
quality or performance. Read blue prints. |

| Over 3 years experience. |
| Skills |
- Weld metal parts or components together, using brazing, gas, or arc
welding equipment.
- Repair broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal
parts, using welding equipment.
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position.
- Clean or degrease parts, using wire brush, portable grinder, or chemical
bath.
- Inspect finished work piece for conformance to specifications.
- Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scraper
or power chipper, portable grinder, or arc-cutting equipment.
- Position work pieces and clamp together or assemble in jigs or fixtures.
- Preheat work piece, using hand torch or heating furnace.
- Review layout,
blueprints, diagrams, or work orders in preparation for welding or cutting
metal components.
