| Description |
| Off-ground experience over 30 feet.
Assembles in the air storage shelving, rack shelving, structural
shelving and steel shelving systems. Capable of using hand tools,
cordless power tools and mechanical assembly tools while handling
materials and fasteners. May be required to verify accuracy and quality
in accordance with established standards. Familiar with concepts
and standards of mechanical practices and procedures for shelving
assembly. Familiar and experienced with fall prevention safety devices
and procedures. |
| Experience/Education |
| Over 3 years experience in connecting or related field. High
School diploma or equivalent preferred. |
| Skills |
- Work at heights above 30 feet.
- Fully functional with fall prevention equipment and devices
and knowledge of fall prevention safety procedures.
- Assemble various shelving systems.
- Bolt aligned -steel members in position for permanent fastening,
bolting, or welding into place.
- Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following
blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
- Drive drift pins through rivet holes in order to align rivet
holes in structural-steel members with corresponding holes
in previously placed members.
- Erect metal and precast components for shelving such as warehouse
racking systems, retail storage systems, drive-in, cantilever
and tear drop pallet racking.
- Hoist steel members into final positions, using hands, crowbars,
lift trucks, and hand tools.
- Pull, push, or pry structural-steel members into approximate
positions for bolting into place.
- Capable of operating various man-lift equipment.

| Basic hand tools: nine piece set of box wrenches.
Sockets, ¾” drive ratchet. Tap hammer. Tape measure. Cordless
